Musicians explain the first song they learned on the guitar. We wanted to know the initial spark that made some of our favorite bands fall in love with playing guitar, so we asked them - Dirty South, Empire of the Sun, Miami Horror, Bag Raider - and some of our own team who have been playing guitar for years. What we found is unsurprising - you need to find a song you love to play and practice until you master it.

With this, we’re excited to announce the launch of the gTar Song Store, where you’ll be able to find songs you love to learn and play on the gTar. This announcement also marks the beginning of our relationship with Sony/ATV and EMI, from whom we’ve licensed a combined catalog of more than 2 million songs to offer within our app, including hits from bands like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, and The Rolling Stones.
